Anxiety disorders diagnosis:

Anxiety disorders, as any other mental disorders should be diagnosed correctly and properly by a mental health professional or a psychiatrist to avoid any confusing with other mental or physical illness, a specialist should realize the exact type of anxiety, however, he could give some suggestions about what would be the cause that triggers the disease but the exact answer would still be hard to find.

First of all, you have to perform a physical exam to make sure the symptoms you have are related to anxiety disorders and not to a physical illness. If your tests are good and no physical problems are found, then you need to be referred to a psychiatrist or psychologist because your problem has a psychological side.

Sometimes anxiety disorders co-exist with another physical illness such diabetes, heart disease or cancer…that would make the symptoms more severe and also the diagnosis would be very hard because the doctor may believe that the symptom are related to a physical problem and give you a treatment but unfortunately the symptoms will remain present.

So if that is your situation, do not hesitate to get yourself diagnosed by a mental health professional.
